It is December - DECEMBER - not July; please stop with these ridiculous temperatures!

In mid-December, with Christmas just over a week away, we should not have temperatures in double figures.

You don't even have to snow (although it would be nice) but please can it be a lot colder? Nice and crisp and frosty would be lovely.

There were no major upsets on the men's side of the draw yesterday. Novak and Stan both came through comfortably. A couple of the top men were really pushed and at a couple of points it did look as though an upset might be on the cards. And a beautiful day it is here today.

It started very cold (enough to have a wee burst of heating) and wet and dull.

But now it's bright, sunny, blue skies and a really nice temperature. Not cold but not hot.

So many beautiful colours all around.
